I've made posts regarding Flex Wear: Colors in Amethyst and Flex Wear: Radiance II in Blue.
It's been nearly 6 months since I bought them and I needed to replace them soon. For the past 6 months I've worn the Flex Wear, I've received compliments on the Blue one (I barely wore the Amethyst one though). The contacts have served me well but I noticed that I couldn't stand a whole day of wearing it.
Flex wear easily dries and after 2-3 hours of wearing it, my eyes feel drier than usual so I need to keep the solution in hand so I can use it as eye drops. I usually can't stand more than 6 hours of wearing it. There were times when I leave the house a little past lunch and by 6 in the evening, I'll be itching to take them off. My eyes don't feel itchy, per se, rather they feel really tired and they hurt.
I was thinking of repurchasing Flex but thought again because despite it being really cheap, it hurts me when I wear it. So I decided maybe Freshlook was a better option, as I've read positive comments on it.
And lo and behold, I was able to sneak in a few hours of shopping in Trinoma while I searched for a gift for my friend in AdMU.
I was able to acquire two pairs in Sarabia. I was forced to take 2 since they only come in 1-grade-pairs and my right eyes is -5.25 and my left is -5.75. EO didn't carry Freshlook and The Optical Shop didn't have high grades on hand. I got these from Sarabia.
Each pair is veeery pricey. P1200 for each! Each pair lasts for 3 months so these will last me another 6 months. They're in gray, as stated above. They didn't have blue or sterling grey on hand :( I should've gotten green.
BEFORE:
I am so sorry I look so tired and horrible. I just sneaked the review in between my Metrics baby thesis and my Lit paper.
AFTER:
Honestly, I like the effect! The grey is actually quite subtle! But not subtle enough for people to think I'm not wearing contacts when they're standing a few feet away.
CLOSER LOOK!
(Ohmygod I feel so embarrassed by the quality of these photos and the quality of my face ohmygod I look horrible I'm sorry and look at those awful angles ugh sorry)
They feel a lot better than my Flex Wear ones on first try! I hope these won't hurt when I wear it for a long time!
