Eyeliner

After this will be a review of some sorts of all the eyeliners in my current make-up collection.
----------

from top to bottom
Allegre Colors
Nichido Mineral Kohl Pencil: Onyx
Nichido Eye Contour Pencil: 01 Blackest Black
Nyx Retractable eyeliner 01 White
L’oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss: Carbon Black
Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner: Blackest Black
Maybelline EyeStudio: Charcoal Carbon

These 4 are the pencil liners (Allegre, Nichido Kohl, Nichido Eyecountour and Nyx) before and after I wiped with wetones.
Allegre Colors: Black
Longevity
For longevity, Allegre scores really low for this. It easily melts when I use it, especially near the waterline. It melts after an hour or 2 during normal days in Philippine weather.
Ease of application
Yes, the Allegre one is creamy. You can easily twist the body to lengthen the liner that’s exposed but I think it’s too creamy and at some point this liner of mine broke.
Price
This was 125 pesos and I really do not think it is worth it. I got it from this magazine catalogue of my mom’s officemate and mom insisted I buy even at least 1 item to help her officemate so I did.
Nichido Mineral Kohl Pencil: Onyx & Nichido Eye Contour Pencil: 01 Blackest Black
Longevity
These 2 last really long for me! I spent an entire school day wearing each and the wing that I made only melted after 3 hours, but the rest stayed intact.
Ease of application
The liner is very creamy and this liner’s really dark. It’s pretty good!
Price
The Kohl one is P138 pesos and definitely worth it compared to the Allegre! The Eyecontour one is only P80! Definitely worth it, PLUS it contributes to local makeup brands! J
Nyx Retractable eyeliner 01 White
Longevity
The Nyx retractable eyeliner is VERY good. Yes the point doesn’t stay pointy after several uses, but it stays on a long time. I can only take it off once I’ve scrubbed it off using wet tissue.
Ease of application
It’s creamy and easily applicable. The body easily twists to lengthen the liner.
Price
I got this for only $6.50 and I honestly think it is WORTH it~
----------

Before and after I wiped with wet ones.
Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner: Blackest Black
Longevity
This actually stays long! In the above photo, I put more pressure in wiping the liners off with a wet tissue, so the Revlon liner got erased but this liner lasts for hours even in normal hot Philippine weather. My liner wings tend to melt off though after a long time.
Ease of application
I have to say I’m not fond of liquid liners like this coz at some point the brush gets stuck and you hafta really pull it out and it’s a bit of a hassle. Like all liners, you have to constantly get more liner after it runs out on the brush. (I honestly prefer the L’oreal one, which is next)
Price
I don’t remember exactly how much this is so I can’t say if it’s worth it or not. Sorry!
L’oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss: Carbon Black
Longevity
I love using this one since it lasts a long while. But as usual, the wing part of my liner looks always tends to get erased as the hours pass.
Ease of application
The felt tip of this one grabs more liiqud liner so I don’t always have to go get more from the tube. The felt tip also helps making more detailed liner looks and it doesn’t mess up wing liner looks!
Price
I don’t remember exactly how much this was but I think around 500-600 pesos for this one. Definitely worth it, and so far the best liquid liner I’ve had.
Maybelline EyeStudio: Charcoal Carbon
Longevity
The one that didn’t disappear? Maybelline Eyestudio. I love using it for everyday coz it barely melts even after I’ve ran from one building to another in school. It isn’t as bold and black as the liquid liners so it gives more natural looks.
Ease of application
With this small bottle comes a small eyeliner brush and the cream easily applies onto eyes.
Price
Totally worth the $10!!! Well. Plus tax.

Eyeshadow

After this will be a review of some sorts of all the eyeshadow palettes in my current make-up collection.
----------
Avon Sandy Colors Quad
Estee Lauder 9-color palette
Prestige Cosmetics 3-color palette
Dollface 88-color palette
Urban Decay Naked Palette
----------

Urban Decay: Naked Palette

colors from left to right of palette, top to bottom of arm
Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half-baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal.
Packaging & Shades
This palette is GORGEOUS. I love the chocolate-colored velvet cover. With the palette itself came a brush and an eye primer. All the colors are lovely. All of the shades easily color and you can easily make naked to smokey looks. With one dip of a brush, the powder easily clings to any brush you use and easily apply.
Applicator
As I said, an eyeshadow brush came with this palette. The bristles feel a bit hard and synthetic-y but it serves its purpose well. The colors easily cling onto the brush and it easily applies onto the eyes.
Price
Urban Decay’s a bit more expensive than the things I usually go for but I honestly think it’s worth it. This is the best palette in my collection so far and definitely worth the 50-60 dollars I got ‘em for.
----------
Prestige Cosmetics Color Creation Eyeshadow & Line Creator Kit

Packaging and Shades
The colors are lovely and highly pigmented but I barely use this trio. Colors can be easily applied! The palette has a small mirror inside and it focuses on the eyes so it’s useful!
Applicator
With it came a small eyeline creator. It does well in creating the colored liner effect.
Price
I cannot give the price of this one since it was only a gift to me.
----------
Avon Sandy Corals Quad

colors from top to bottom of arm
Chocolate Suede, Pearly Peach, Sandy Copper, and Vanilla
Shades
The Vanilla shade’s very very close to my skin tone so I almost always use it as base or highlighter depending on the look. The 2 other medium shades are very glittery. The chocolate suede shade, based form experience, is so dark so I have to take care with how much I put on and with how I blend the shade. All the colors are highly pigmented! I’ve been using it for a long time and I still haven’t run out!
Applicator
I am not fond of the usual tiny typical eyeshadow applicator that you see in the picture above. The narrower part though is what I sometimes use when I make a mistake and I need to edit a little flick so it comes in handy, and the color easily gathers onto the applicator and easily gets off when applied, but it feels a bit rough and dry on the skin when I use it.
Price
I actually do not remember how much this was worth and I don’t even remember getting this but I suppose this came from mom.
----------
Estee Lauder Signature Eyeshadow 9-color palette

colors from top to bottom
Sand 1, Smoky Pink 4, Arctic Night 1, Sand 3, Smoky Pink 2, Arctic Night 3, Berry Quartz 2, Blue Smoke 1, Arctic Night 4
Shades
This palette was my first one and I loved using Smoky Pink 2. All the colors easily color but the Sand 1 color would require you to wet your brush before you can see good results. Sand 1 applied with a dry brush would be barely seen. The rest of the shades are highly pigmented.
Applicator
As I mentioned with the other palettes, I hate the typical tiny eyeshadow applicator. When I use it, however, it does a good job of gathering the powder onto the applicator and applying on skin. One thing I noticed is that it tends to leave a lot of powder onto the applicator, though.
Price
I cannot give the price of this one since this was a gift from my aunt to my mom who, in turn, gave it to me. It came as an Estee Lauder set with a pink velvet square pouch with 2-pockets. Inside was a 250mL make-up remover, this palette, Double Wear mascara, Double Wear concealer (that was 2 shades darker than me), and Double Wear black eyeliner. This was probably expensive @-)
----------
Dollface 88 colors
Shades
All the colors are exceedingly lovely, especially the nude ones since I tend to use neutral shades all the time. I love the variety of flesh shades here. What I noticed about the lighter colors (especially the white) is that they don’t pigment as much as the bright colors do. The brown colors also tend to differ in color when you apply different layers and they’re a bit hard to blend. The 3 silvers in the right-most column also tend to lose the glittery-ness when applied.
Applicator
I’ve never used the 2 typical eyeshadow applicators that come with this one so I cannot describe the quality.
Price
I have no idea how much this is since my sister got this (but I have a feeling it’s less than P1000). Honestly, I think it’s worth it. Yes, the quality isn’t THAT good but it’s good enough for me J

Blush-On

After this will be a review of some sorts of all the blush-ons in my current make-up collection.
----------
Starting from the left:
Maybelline 100 Mocha Velvet
Revlon Powder Blush 060 Wine With Everything

Revlon ColorStay 020 Petal
Etude House #2 Strawberry Choux
----------

These 4 blushes give very subtle effects and will be as shown on the pictures that will follow, taken with and without a flash.
From top to bottom: Etude, Revlon Colorstay, Revlon Powder Blush, Maybelline
Maybelline 100 Mocha Velvet
Shade
Well! The one I like using the most would be the Maybelline one. The shade looks much more natural and it easily colors.
Applicator
I am not too fond of the applicator though. The brush feels too artificial and harsh on my skin compared to my brushes, but the blush easily clings onto it and apply onto skin. With the applicator that came with it, it took me 2 swipes to get the color above. For my everyday looks, I put on 4 swipes on each cheek.
Price
I cannot really say anything about the price of this one since I was able to get this from my aunt’s annual “Xmas Padala: Get what you want” box. But it probably doesn’t cost too much and hopefully is worth the money.
Revlon Powder Blush 060 Wine With Everything
Shade
The Revlon Wine With Everything is actually so light that it took me 6 strokes to get the color above. I rarely use it since it doesn't color too well.
Applicator
The applicator is—decent but I am not sure if the color clings onto the bristles at all.
Price
I only got this from my mother but I must say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHADE. I cannot vouch for the results of this brand in other shades but for this one, it really probably isn’t worth it since it barely colors, despite the fact I am PALE.
Revlon ColorStay 020 Petal
Shade
The Revlon ColorStay does okay, took me 3 swipes to get the color above. The powder also tends to get—scattered whenever I use this. The powder here’s a lot looser and it doesn’t color as much as I hope it would.
Applicator
I am not fond of the applicator. The brush is exceedingly tiny. The bristles are a bit hard (but not as hard as the Maybelline one) but feels less synthetic-y. The powder doesn’t cling onto the applicator at all.
Price
I don’t think this shade is worth it. I bought this for around 600-700 pesos yet this doesn’t color so much. When I didn’t have my Maybelline one, I used to wear this but it takes me 10 strokes per cheek.
Etude House #2 Strawberry Choux
Shade
The Etude one is adorable! It took me 2 swipes to get the very baby pink color from above. The powder isn’t too loose and it clings to my Suesh brush and easily applies and colors.
Applicator
I don't want to use the applicator coz it's too adorable >.< So sorry I cannot give a review on how good the applicator is
Price
I definitely recommend this one! I do not remember how much it was but it’s found in the Etude website and it’s cheap! Definitely worth it because adorable packaging and good quality make-up!

Future posts

Bonjour!

I previously used my 2nd tumblr (boundfortheinfinite.tumblr.com) as my venting of frustration with fashion-related stuff but when I reblog stuff for my 2 blogs, it became a bit confusing. Also since I split up my reblogs, my main tumblr was neglected.

So! I'll be just merging my fandom and fashion related reblogs in my eternallyinfinite tumblr account. For this blog, I'll be putting in:
photos of my stuff
possible outfit shots/drawings
make-up reviews
hauls

(I know not a lot of people would be reading this but *shrug*)
