This will be a masterpost of blushes, bronzers or contouring palettes I have attained until present time, March 25, '14.
ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzer in Warm
Location
This palette was attained in Watsons SM Department Store. This is easily found in SM Department Stores, Watsons outlets, and Landmark.
Price
This costs P250.00 so if you need something very affordable, this is okay.
Packaging + Applicator
The way it is packaged is alright. It can be easily opened and closed. It already has a wide mirror in the palette but no applicator, so that's a con.
Shade and Pigmentation
This particular bronzer is for warm skin tones. The shades are shimmery and have to be blended well to not look too awkward on paler skin tones. The shades are highly pigmented and the colors above was attained by swiping lightly a few times.
Wearing time
The color though fades away after 2-3 hours of wearing in Philippine weather.
Side effects
Aside from the very short wear time, it makes my skin oilier than usual. I have combination skin so my tzone gets really oily especially in Philippine weather.
Another downside, after wearing this for a day and re-applying it during the afternoon I put it on, I had a huge breakout. My forehead and cheeks weren't riddled with pimples but the day after I wore this bronzer and blush, small zits popped up even after I thoroughly used makeup remover.
Etude House #2 Strawberry Choux
Location
This particular blush is available in all Etude House outlets. There are 3 in SM North Edsa, 1 in the Department Store, 2 in The Block (Ground and 2nd Floor).
Price
It costs P348.00 each.
Packaging and Applicator
This packaging is very cute and the blush has a very cute applicator, which Etude also sells separately. It just doesn't have a mirror, the slight downside to it.
Shade and Pigmentation
The blush is lightly pigmented, and it gives a very natural rosy blush look. The powder isn't too loose but it does cling on to the applicator nicely.
Wearing time
I wore it for an estimate of 3-4 hours before I noticed it already melted in typical Philippine weather.
Ever Bilena: Blush Me! Bronzing Powder
Location
This particular blush is available in all Ever Bilena outlets. Since it's a local brand, you can easily find it in Mercury Drug Store, and in Department Stores. I got this one from Mercury Drug Store.
Price
It costs less than P200.00, if I remember correctly.
Packaging and Applicator
This packaging is difficult to deal with. It is hard to unscrew the parts and to screw it back together.
It has 2 parts, one side is the brush, the other is the blush itself.
The brush is actually a bit hard/rough.
And this packaging makes things very difficult and messy. As you will see in the picture below, the whole time I was trying to take pictures and try it out, the powder spread on to my tank top. The powder was everywhere. On my tank top, on my makeup case, and scattered on my hand used for swatching.
Shade and Pigmentation
The blush is highly pigmented. The powder has huge particles that are extremely difficult to blend on to the skin properly.
The problem with dipping the brush into the pot of powder is that I end up taking too much. As shown below, even if I only lightly dipped, too much product clung onto the brush, hence the too dark color.
Maybelline 100 Mocha Velvet
Location
This particular blush was only given to me by my aunt and I have no idea if Maybelline still produces this particular product.
Price
Considering it was gifted to me, I couldn't put a price on it.
Packaging and Applicator
This packaging is very simple. There's no mirror, just a brush that comes with the blush itself, but the packaging isn't difficult to deal with. The powder is a bit loose so particles fall out when I sweep the brush, but the powder does cling onto the brush.
Shade and Pigmentation
The blush is highly pigmented and the color above was attained with a few swipes only.
Wearing time
I wore it for an estimate of 4-5 hours before I noticed it already melted in typical Philippine weather.
Nyx Tango with Bronzing Powder TWBP02
Location
The bronzer can be found in Nyx outlets. There's a Nyx stall inside SM Department Store and a shop in the Annex of SM North Edsa.
Price
I got this for P650.00
Packaging and Applicator
This packaging is somewhat difficult to deal with. I have a hard time moving through the 2 parts. The top part is the bronzer itself, the bottom has the mirror and the brush. The brush is soft and can capture the product easily.
Shade and Pigmentation
The bronzer is highly pigmented and attained after a few swipes.
Wearing time
I wore it for an estimate of 4-5 hours before I noticed it already lightened, not sure if it already completely faded, in typical Philippine weather.
Revlon Powder Blush 060 Wine with Everything
Location
This blush can be found in all Revlon outlets. Department stores and Watsons carry this brand.
Price
My mother only gave this to me so I am unsure of the price of this one.
Packaging and Applicator
This packaging is alright, easy to use. There's a small mirror and a brush. The brush doesn't easily capture the product.
Shade and Pigmentation
The blush is lightly pigmented. It took me a lot of swipes to get the shade below. The powder may be too compressed, hence the light color? I tried using 3 different applicators (the one with the package, my Suesh brush, and the brush from the other Revlon blush that will come after this) and yet the color remains the same.
Wearing time
I wore it for an estimate of 2-3 hours before I noticed it already melted in typical Philippine weather.
Revlon Colorstay 020 Petal
Location
This particular blush is available in all Revlon outlets, ergo in all Department stores and Watsons.
Price
It costs around P600.00 - P700.00 each.
Packaging and Applicator
This packaging is alright. A bit difficult to open and the powder is a bit loose so powder spills out when I open it. The brush is a bit rough but can capture a lot of powder and can allow me to easily apply. The problem is, after a year or two of having this, the brush's hair starts falling it.
Shade and Pigmentation
The blush is nicely pigmented. It took 2-3 swipes to get the color below.
Wearing time
I wore it for an estimate of 4-5 hours before I noticed it already melted in typical Philippine weather.
